Thursday April 25th

I did not go to co-op.

Wed April 24th

Today I was at co-op for 4 hours. I shampooed 3 clients. I also did the 3 loads of laundry. The guy who sharpens Louises scissors came in and I watched him do it. It was pretty cool.

Tuesday April 24th

Today I was at co-op for 3 hours. Today at co-op i washed 2 clients hair and cleaned up the salon. The salon gets very dusty very fast because there is a construction site right across the street. I did a few practices on the mannequin head today.

Monday April 23rd

Today I went to colour class with Louise for 6 hours. I learned about product knowledge and different hair colour. They used me as a model to do a demonstration. They coloured my hair brown.

Friday April 20th.

Today I was at co - op from 12:30 - 4:30. Today was another busy day. I shampooed 5 clients and blow dryed 2 of them. I went cleaned up the whole entire colour room and organized the back on my spare time.

Thursday April 19th

Today i was at co-op for 6 hours. Today was a very busy day.. I shampooed 6 clients and set them up for there blow drys. There was a wedding party that came in so i assisted louise in helping her with the updos. I did a roller set in one of the brides mates hair.

Wednesday April 18th

I was only at co-op for 3 hours today because there was nothing to do. The day was very slow. I cleaned up the salon and organized the products on the shelf.

Tuesday, Apirl 17th

Today i was at co-op from 12:30 - 4:30. It was a slower day. Generally wendesday and tuesday are slows days. I shamppoed 2 clients and talk with louise a little bit about my progress at my co-op placement.

April 5th

Journal

This week was really short. I was only at co - op for 2/4 days. I didnt really learn anything new. I was dissapointed when I realised i only had 2 days at co- op beacause i really like my co-op placement.

April 4th

Today i was at co - op for 6 hours. It was very busy. I did laundry, cleaned up the whole entire salon and shampooed 9 clients. I blowdryed 3 clients and helped the estitician organize some of her files.

April 3rd.

Today I was at co - op for 3 hours. Louise and i did inventory on product that the salon had just got in. I re - organized the shelves with all the product and acceossories that we have in the salon. I dusted all the shelves and put everything back. I shampooed 2 clients. Today was a really slow day.

April 1st

Journal

This week was a shorter week. I got really frustrated when i started to get sick on wednesday. I felt i couldnt do my best at my placement. I learned more teqniuies with the manaquin. Today louise and i went to the ABA show downtown toronto. I watched alot on extensions durring the time we were there and I really developed a uge intrest in learning. I am going to do some reasearch on extensions So that when i get my hair dressing liscnse I can go right ahead and take the coarse. I hope that my goal of this will go through. Louise is helping me alot and I feel that I have learned so much and that she really is an excellent teacher.

March 30th.

Today I was only at co - op for an hour. I went home sick.. I shampooed one client.

March 29th

Today I was at co- op for 5 hours. It was a really busy day. I learned how to do highlights. I assissted Louise in doing a clients hair because it was really long. I shampooed 4 clients and blow dryed one womens hair. I did 3 loads of laundry and cleaned the miorrors.

March 28th

Today I was at co-op for 3 hours. I coloured a few clients hair and shampooed 5 clients. I cleaned up the salon because it needed to be cleaned. It was a steady day today.

March 27th


Today I was at co - op from 12:30 - 4:30. It was another slow day. My boss taught me more different ideas to do an updo for a manaquin like tieng sections of knots and pinning them all up. I shamppoed 2 clients and set them up for there cut and blow dry.

March 25th

Journal

This week was another good week. I feel my supervisor and I really get along and that it was a good choic to do my co-op placment at. It felt good when we could sit down and talk about my progress there and to tal about what i like and what i dont like about my co-op. She taught me how to do some really cool tricks with updos on a manaquin. I feel that I am developing a good bond between my self and the regular clients that come in for there blow drys every 2 days. When work is finished and I have spare time I clean up the salon. If the saln is clean Ill sit with the manaquin and try new things with her hair.

March 22nd.

Today i was at co-op from 12:30 - 3:30. I coloured a clients hair and shampooed 4 clients. Today was busy, we used up all the towels so I had to go into the building above and do 2 loads of laundry.

March 21st

I was at co- op for 4 hours today. Today i shampooed 4 clients. I helped the aestitican make gift bags for her clients that had had gift cards in them.

March 20th

Today was the first day back from co- op. I was only there for 3 hours because it was a really slow day. My supervisor showed me some teqniques to do on a maniquin head. I learned how to twist hair and knot hair the proper way for an evening updo. I shampooed one client near the end of the day.

March 12th

Journal

This week was a good week overall. My supervisor treats me like a real employee. She helps with me with everything i ask her to. She explains a process through to me thta i understand and like. I feel that i am going an excellent job at co - op. I really feel that this is a career that I want to do for the rest of my life. This week I learned how to chemically straighten hair. It was a really easy job that i thought may have been harder. It was frustrating when I wanted to learn more but the week got busier and I had to do other parts of my job like clean the salon and do laundry.

March 8th.

Today I was at co-op from 12:30 - 4:30. Today it was a really busy day at co - op. I shampooed 6 clients and set them up for their service. I coloured 2 clients hair and blowdryed one clients hair. I cleaned up the salon for the rest of the week because march break was going to start and i wasnt going to be there.

March 7th

Today I was at co - op from 12:30 - 3:30. I shampooed and blow dryed a little girls hair. I cleaned up all the shampoo bottles and the back bar station where I shampoo at.

March 6th

Today I was at co-op from 12:30 - 3:30. It was a slower day so I only shampooed 2 clients and did three loads of laundry.

March 2nd

Today I wqs at co - op from 12:30 - 4:30. It was a steady day today. I learned how to chemically straighten hair. I shampooed 3 clients. I cleaned and dusted the whole salon when I had an extra minute.
